I went to a VW show to day (Sacramento Bug-O-Rama). I drove my '60 panel, had a friend drive my '61 double cab, and another friend's wife drove my new '68 single cab.
To earn my Cruel Bastard Merit Badge, I hung a "for sale" sign in the singe cab with a really low price, and with a piece of masking tape over it that said 'sold' - although you could still see the "asking price"
Sure enough, all day long people went over to the truck and said things like 'damn!' or '*****, that was a deal' This was good for literally
hours of entertainment. Some people came running - literally
running over to the truck only to face-plant into a brick wall of disappointment.
