George Lucas said that this movie was not for those under the age of 13... That said, I was amazed at how many young kids were really at the theatre.
**** Spoilers ****
Anakin being burned up could be somewhat confusing to the children, as this is the 'hero' of the movies they've been watching. But really, was that any worse than anything they see on standard TV these days?
The only scene I can think of that could be considered somewhat gory is the demise of General Grievous. But unless you really think about, it doesn't appear that bad. What I'm talking about is his eyes basically exploding out of his skull. But unless you remember he actually had eyes, then that scene was just simply more special effects, as it just showed what appeared as flames or plasma bursting from his eye sockets.
We didn't take my 10 year old daughter, but we would of if she weren't spending the evening with her Aunt and Grandmother. And I didn't really see anything that she couldn't of handled.
