I own an 81 911SC that I bought last winter. It had 168000 miles on it and was in ok condition. I had the engine and transmission fully rebuilt. I had a C2 kit and RS wing put on. New paint to original color. All new interior. New C2 wheels and ZR rated tires. Many other brake, suspension, lighting upgrades, ETC... I am into the car about $23000. It is like having a 93 RS America at half the price with the advantage of much lower insurance cost. Great powere to weight ratio (12.5lb/hp) RS America has about a 11.5lb/hp ratio.
Everyone has their own opinion on what SCs should go for. I have seen as little as $7500 for a good looking 82 SC that had no compression and needed a rebuil. I have also seen a compleat rebuild (everything) like mine that was up to over $30000 by the time it left the shop.
