I think the best place to have the V1 remote display is high up, between the tach and the speedo, holding onto the underside of the lip of the dash that shades the gauges. I've tried mine in a few different places, and I think it's best if it's right in your line of sight when you're driving. The tach and the mirror mounts are very cool, and look nicely 'finished,' but I think you're going to miss more warnings the farther the display is from where you're normally looking.
It might be even better if it sat on top of the dash, but the sun might wash out the lights -- and even I have my limits when it comes to an ugly and intrusive installation.
