That doesn't make sense. A worn throttle shaft allows extra air in causing the mixture to go lean. Are you sure the throttle shafts are worn?
I know where to get a pair of 40IDA triples, if they have good throttle shafts, they might be cheaper to buy than to rebuild yours.
