I read a bit on Motorola in the Chicago Tribune a few months ago (Schaumburg-based and all). It said that Nextel was Motorola's largest customer. I doubt Motorola would give that up without a fight, and such a fight would be well-publicized, at least locally. I haven't heard anything. Maybe with the Sprint merger, there is some doubt about Motorola's continuing role as sole equipment supplier to Nextel?
