My theory; The jury, being SoCal'ers are more interested in their OWN personal "story' than societies.
That is, in SoCal, status is 'who you know' . ..ie, "My cousin was Linsey Lohans neighbor once" trumps "My dog ate turds buried by Scott Petersons cat." Both are held in high regard there, of course
but clearly, one is much better.
So, there was a room full SoCal nobodies, who got to spend a bunch of time in the same room as MJ/Robert Blake/OJ ...
Do you really think that they want their "story" to be "yeah, I kinda know a convict" (?)
