Energy Bill

I'm spending time with my mother in Spokane, and I've actually watched television this week. She likes to watch McNews (Fox). Like so many, she likes to be entertained. And like so many, she doesn't see the difference. No kidding, on the objective "fair and balanced" news program (not the O'Reilly and Hannity crap), the Dems were openly criticized for focusing on Guantanamo Bay where hundreds of people are held with no hearing, no evidence presented, etc, while there is righteous UN bashing to be done. Unbelievable.

But the most hilarious part came when Bush is shown appealing to Congress to pass an Energy Bill. Republicans in Congress are abandoning The Dolt on this one too (we all know about the withdraw from Iraq slap in the face they're starting to give your darling president). Apparently, even the two Republican houses of Congress envision energy policy to be a bit more expensive than Dubya would prefer. As you all know, Dubya is getting frantic in his quest to get something, anything, done under his "administration," and I use that term losely of course. He cannot support the funding his party is considering for energy conservation (now there's a shocker, eh?). And he also cannot support their oil import reduction goals for the future. Another huge surprize.

Anybody less than crystal clear on what his agenda is, and has always been?
