I, too, would like to really understand the energy program being offered to the public. Seems as if there is resistance on the part of Washington to understand that the problem is simply basing the economy on petroleum, period. Charitably, it appears there is too much coziness with big oil to look elsewhere.
But...........
What would happen if the country entered into the equivalent of another Manhattan Project to come up with alternative methods of energy production? To make it viable, let the energy current producers compete in the process. Perhaps then the oil companies would then not be so fearful of the results.
