Paxton's cost per unit to manufacture is around $500. The y do almost everything in house, the castings they farm out to a foundry down the street, and get an amazing deal because of the volume they do. So, using some off the shelf parts (turbo), and doing the gear box and braketry in house, they should be able to turn a decent profit at half the price of the "other kit."
