Most early 928s seem to be missing the build sheet; I'm not sure that they were put in at the factory as religiously as the later models. Sending in to PCNA is the only way to get option info, no other places on the car other than those you menthoned as missing.
The G28/05 is the proper trans for that year, some models have a gear ratio tag bolted onto the rear cover but I don't hink that tag indicates whether it has a limited slip diff or not. THe only way to tell for sure is to jack both wheels off the ground and spin one by hand; if the opposite one spins in the same direction-LSD, of the other wheels spins in the opposite direction or not at all-no LSD.
$9K is a premium price for an '82 unless it's a Euro-spec "S" model; it should be super clean with full records and all major service done at that price.
