They might try to stonewall like Nixon did in Watergate. But like Watergate, there is a judge with a very bad attitude pushing the Plame case the way Judge Sirica pushed the Watergate case. IIRC, Sirica squeezed the underlings hard with threats and penalties that bordered on illegal in order to make them cough up the truth. And it seems Judge Henderson is playing a similar game of hardball with the Plame case. And it appears to have produced results if Time really does produce the smoking gun emails and notes and memoes. And unlike Watergate, outing a spy is a much easier crime for the public to understand than plumbers and coverups etc. The 'T' word ("treason") is gonna be flying around right from the getgo IMO.
