Did anyone mention it's hot? Anyway, it's a nice place. As for neighborhoods, Land Park is exceptional. Very nice houses. But it may have gotten pricey lately.

Sacto has an "Old Town" along the river, with blocks of 150-year-old Gold Rush buildings, cobblestone streets, wooden sidewalks, a big paddlewheeler on a dock, and an awesome rail museum.
