That it was a bad idea to use a PC keyboard/mouse?
I actually think for PC users switching to Macs it's a good idea.
The whole idea behind the Mini is for PC users to re-use their existing hardware, keyboard, mouse, monitor, printer etc...
After all, they all work on Macs so that's not an issue. I hope he did not tell you it was.
The only noticeable difference is the modifier key that you use, on a pc it's the CTRL key (CTRL+C =copy) which is the 3rd key away from the spacebar. On a Mac you use the Command Key, has the little Apple/Cloverleaf on it and it's 1st key next to the spacebar.
Whenever I use a PC I have to look to copy/paste cause I'm not used to using the 3rd vs 1st key.
I assume a PC user would have the same issue.
I've used plenty of PC keyboards on Macs, if you want the key in the "normal" spot you just remap the key and that's it.
For quality and feel I've yet been able to find anything that beats the Apple keyboard and mouse. I just wish they would admit that some of us really do need more than a one button mouse and make one themselves. The logitech media mouse is a very close second for feel and comfort and it's got like 15 buttons, gotta love that.
