Hi,
The car is from 1990 and has done 27K thats less than 2K a year, if it's not the cabrio I find that rather strange, even for a weekend car.
Advice 1.
Buy the bible....Peter Morgan / The Original Porsche 911
eg:
http://www.bookhq.com/compare/1901432165.html
and/or buy
Porsche 911 Redbook 1965-2004 from Patric Paterny
Advice 2.
Check if:
- All the maintance reports are still there. Check the millage on them
- Invoices
- Original manual etc..
- Check the serialnumber and look in the book of Peter M. to check date and modifiation level.
Advice 3.
This is a MUST>>>
If your not a Porsche mechanic and you are not, have it fully checked (at an official or renowned Porsche garage in your neighbourhood) before you buy it. All hidden problems will appear or hopefully not. Ask on this board where that might be in your area, since I'm from the Netherlands I have'n't got a clue from this in the States.
Goodluck with your choice, the Porsche 964 is a terrific car.
Regards,
Pieter
