Obviously the 914 has some excellent handling qualities due to its low CG, mid-engine layout, and light weight. But how many of them are winning AX's in stock form? Every one I've ever seen that performed well was highly modified. In that form, one might question whether it's really a 914 anymore. But still, I have no doubt that even a stock one is fun to drive. Just not my cup of tea. Apologies to 914 owners.

Hell, I'll wave at anybody. I'm just happy you're in a Porsche.
You right....914s have been modified to keep up with the times, just like any other 35 year old car. If we wanted to remain in the 60s or 70s we would be driving Concour Weenie stock 356s.....but you have to remember...Porsche delibrately detuned the T motor that was used in the 914/6......they didn't WANT them to beat up on the senior Porche right off the showroom floor...

This ain't stock either....
