I just discovered this thread. It is pretty hilarious.
I don't think the car matters as much as the driver. For example, some 911 guys might look down on 944-series cars, but the only difference between you and me is that you had the money for a 911, and I could only afford a 944.
Blessed with this point of view, I wave to any and all Porsches (and make mental note of who waves back)...
