"I mentioned to Steve about the lack of additional kick above 4.5K and he attributes that to the power coming on now much lower in the range, which I do agree, it's very noticeable, so the transition from mid to hi range is much smoother and not as much of a kick is experienced but he guarantees that there's at least 10 more ponies up there than before. I can see his point."

It's all a matter of how far you want to "push" the ignition timing.
