The car is sharp! Mid-engine doesn't hurt,
...and the hatch is something Butzi wanted on the 911 before it was canned because they thought it would rattle. (Apparently, Porsche has concluded that nobody is going to notice one more rattle.)

Nonetheless, it looks like it has sleeper potential once you cram your 3.8 -997- motor in there! You don't suppose the 3.8s have RMS leaks, too, do they? (Must be a "scroll seal".)

Not that that would deter me. It's just that I'd have to get one of the oil catch-pans from underneath the Sprite...

(After all, any 911 owners knows that oil leaks make a sports car seem more sporting!)

I'd steer clear of any first generation model.
