Me too...it was moving up. In order, I bought:
1. 1966 912 (new)
2. 1969 912 (new)
3. 1970 911T (new)
Thought I wanted a new Porsche back in 1974...I took one look at the then new '74 models, walked from the dealership, hunted the classifieds until I found my current car.
4. 1972 911S coupe (7,000 miles used)
Haven't gotten too excited about any new street Porsche produced since...
