dude, i fished the feather....(in oroville)!!!!! i think i went last august.... there is one portion of the river, near a bridge. the river necks down and the water is thick with salmon. it isnt legal to fish there, cept for the steelhead. so if a salmon hooks on you have to release it. i fought a fish for 45 minutes there. 12 llb line, with my bass rod, medium action. i feared for my g-loomis., and switched to an ugly stick. i think you are early.
lakes i have fished, contra loma in antioch.. i nailed two huge bass off the beds.....amongst a bunch of swimmers. motoroil colored lizard. the swimmers freaked. i released the big girls, but i think the people saw me, and got them again..
we need to get together and go fishing! now that would be fun. i am currently canoe shopping. so when i get one, i can take a friend...
