Don't be too quick to stereotype women.

The whole idea for the post was a stereotype ferchrissakes. The thing about stereotypes is that they obviously don't apply to every single person, but enough of them for there to be an obvious grain of truth, which is what makes them humorous. Do you doubt that hard core female Porsche enthusiasts are rare birds?
If nobody could spot anything true-to-life about the original post, it wouldn't have been funny, and it would have died a sad (I've enjoyed it for one) death about 16 pages ago.
It's been funny to watch the 914 and 944 guys come charging in to defend their erstwhile honor. Possibly we would have done the same thing if someone started knocking 911's on a 914 or 944 board.
The thing that people don't seem to get is that everybody has a favorite. Since this is a 911 board, guess what people's favorites are? Duh! It's OK if we communicate this back and forth among ourselves. It's OK if partisans of other models don't agree. I can see how they'd want to chip in here if they feel we're dumping on them.
Just realize it's about fun. Untwist your panties and realize that every 911 owner will not hesitate (from what I've seen here thus far) to wave to a 914, 924 or 944 owner. We don't like your cars better, but you don't like ours better either, so what's the problem?
Nothing a little beer wouldn't solve...
