First the question...
I am following Bitz Racing's Megasquirt install manual (Thanks Tony!) and did all the steps on pages 17-20 where it very specifically described how the fuel distributor is removed and a 'block off place' installed. But the pics on page 36 (and the ones here:
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/showthread.php?threadid=229633&highlight=airbox+pics ) clearly show that part of the airbox and assembly not installed in the final assembly.
Here are some other pics from this board showing that part of the airbox not installed. And there is no mention of cutting the airbox in the Bitz manual.
Anyone have more detailed instructions/pics on cutting the airbox and whether the air regulator assembly is needed?
Oh, here's the tip: You can remove the injector bungs very easily by tapping them out from the bottom with a brass drift and hammer. Only takes a few taps and they come right out. No need to dremel.
Here are the pics from flipper and tony with no sight of that regulator assembly...
Also, where do the AAR hoses connect to/from in an MS install?
