Geeezzz, Rarly as one who HAS tossed $$$ at a Porsche you should realize that the joint ventured 914 was handicapped at the start by the factory.

There were many FACTORY upgrades that were available to bring the 914 back up to it's original potential.....the M471 kit included the flares, body stiffeners, bigger brakes, etc....the Lemans winning 914/6 were far from stock.

The short lived 916 had MANY 911 parts....

Too many people buy into the NARP (not a real porsche) syndrome....
