I think you can...
I know that some houses equipped with solar panels can produce enough electricity that the meters run backwards at times.
Still, I think that what you are proposing would cost more per kilowatt/hour than the electric company charges. (I'm waiting for someone smarter than I to prove/disprove this and show where the threshholds are.)
