Not purely a political issue. Though the foreign oil dependency argument is used frequently - which is a political issue. As well as the impact on the environment - another political issue. Regardless, it is definitely a societal issue.
I couldn't think of the antithesis to hating the SUV. It was meant tongue-in-cheek... Though I see how I could be the only one to "get" it.
Maybe "political" isn't the correct describer for what I mean. Just still not sure what to call it.
