Combat Infantry Badge - it is a chest badge - It means your father was an Infantryman and definately fired shots in anger.
U.N. Service Medal - The Korean War was a UN operation, therefore everyone who fought on our side got this one.
Distinguished Unit Citation: A presidential award to a specific unit (DACO 727, Aug 1951) It is worn as a purple ribbon surrounded by a gold frame.
