The list is a little goofy. It's like someone didn't put any thought into it, at all. Where is the 993 turbo? The 959? Why is the 914-6 way down there? Whatever.
On the mid year 911, the light cars are just fun. My '69S was not a fast car. It was just a joy to drive though. I have driven '75 through '77s and they are light and balanced just like my '69 was. So they are slow compared to a newer car; big whoop. The are fun, classy cars.
I noticed that the RSA is 88 and the regular early 90's 964 is substantially higher. OK, please let me install those softer springs and the early dual mass flywheel at my next service visit. Would you mind taking out these damn sport seats and put on a few pounds too -- you need to beef up a bit, car, geez.
A well-reasoned controversial article would have been fine. This article is poorly thought out.
