No problem prooutlaw. Any bar is better than not having one. If noone else buys it, I've got several long-term project cars to put it in.
Here's a story for entertainment anyway...When I was ready to buy one the first time, I checked out everyone's set-up at the track and got a variety of opinions. Seemed to me that you could spend a little or a great deal, and money was kind of an issue for me. One day I saw a guy flip while pushing the edge (I was doing flag duty and was maybe 100 feet away) and end up on his roof right under the bridge at LimeRock. After frantically waving off a bunch of inbound cars that could have made it a smash-up derby (he was in a dark colored car right in the shadow of the bridge and it was hard to see him), we ran over to see if he was ok. He got right out without a scratch. He had a Safety Devices bar. Maybe he'd have been fine with other equipment, who knows. But that was all I needed to know to make up my mind. May you never need to rely on whatever you get!
