Ahhh...the old Fed UP vs UPiSs off debate...
Both suck...as does DHL/Airborne and USPS....
Recently...shipped a couple of large boxes to CO with suspension items via FedUP...scanned in on June 21, departed location June 22...on July 23 the recipient calls...no package yet.
Call FedUp...monkey on the other end of the phone (no...not my end) says, yep...it's lost. Great...I file a claim. Two days later, I get call from my local rep...yeah, we're gonna have to deny your claim due to improper packaging...
WTF?? Improper packaging??? How the fuch do you know it was improper if the package is lost and YOU CAN'T FIND or SEE IT??!!
Hmmm...I'll have to look into it sir...

. I'm still waiting.
UPS Story #1 of far too many:
Shipped a 915 and Webbers to Florida. Built a very nice WOOD box for it with several internal gussets to make sure the trans didn't shift from it's position during shipping plus an additional compartment for the Webbers inside the box. This box increased the weight a good amount.
Recipient comes home to find the box sitting on his doorstep with several large holes and broken 2X4 framing...sure enough, the trans is shifted out of it's position and the webbers are trash...
I'm pretty sure I could have run over this box with the UPS truck and not damaged the box...
End result...claim denied...improper packaging...
