It can be done: I've looked into doing this to my 3.0, and still have a distant interest in doing so.
But just for the sake of argument, there also is the idea of simply dropping a CIS turbo engine into your car. I've seen 3.0 as well as 3.3 turbos around on the Pelican classifieds. At least that way you don't have to concern yourself with re-engineering.
