That's exactly my plan. There are a few guys out there who have been down this road, like Tsuter and BB. I'm hoping we can rally them to help. Once I do mine, I'll document everything including suppliers. Depending on the help I get on this, it may, or may not be an excellent performing installation-but it'll be a start. From there I, or people more knowledgeable than myself (like pretty much anyone who's reading this), can improve on it if need be.
I plan on bolting things on for better or worse this winter if not sooner

. This is what I have so far after 2 days of reading the archives and cruising the net:
As I said, my expectations are not unrealistic. I want to get up around the 250 HP mark. 7-9 PSI boost. It's starting to look like a T04 Turbo w/54 and external waste gate. I'm torn between using 930 heat exchangers or SSIs. I would prefer the SSIs (Due to construction and availability) but the 930 exhaust has many advantages (Made for a turbo and shorter distance to the turbo). Either way I'll have to have some exhaust fab work done. I feel intercooling is a good option also. I'm going to talk to my Mustang hotrod friends and get their input. My discussions with them so far have been based around the Megasquirt system, which they feel is essential. I'm not adverse to ditching my CIS system at all.
People who have done this are probably grinning as they have been here before. To them I probably sound like someone from a foreign land who is trying to speak English fluently after a two day corrospondence course. Know that all of the above is regurgitated info that has been posted by people like Tsuter. Consider that high praise for how they present themselves. I also try to use information from people who have actually done this. No armchair quarterbacks! There's a big difference between theory and turning the key on a car that you piece together. There may be ideals, but price, ease of installation, and parts availability are huge factors. This will by no means be the ultimate turbo car. I merely want to get more HP and maintain driveability and durability within reason.
