Regarding the fun to drive factor, there is one clear advantage of the E30 on the 911: shifting.
Each time I drive my 325i after my 911, I'm amaze how good the shifter feels (i have a short shift in the Bimmer).

I can't understand how Porsche could impose the 915 gearbox for over 15 years.
