I picked one up as a teenager in 1974 that looked like this one, except without the cowl-induction hood. Very clean, excellent paint, for $1,800. Noticed the carpeting was kinda loose, and upon pulling it back noticed where a roll cage had been mounted. Checked the numbers, and it was a 283. But whoever built it knew what they were doing.
