I parked our 10 day old Audi out and away in the parking lot of a shopping center as we grabbed a bite to eat.

The car next to it was a newer Lexus and I was on the drivers side of it so I felt safe.


I return to the car to find a White full size van parked not just next to me but into the same space. Then to my horror I see it. A big streek of white paint on the side on the Audi where the back side door of the van hit. I stormed back into the restruant and told the manager the vans lights were on. That was actually the truth. I also told the manager that he door dinged me pretty good. Then I went back out and waited.

A waitress (nosey) followed the white van owner out and started wiping the side of my car with her table rag declaring that it was just dirt and not white paint. My wife (I love her) told the women to butt out. The waitress tried to argue with her and my wife told her to take a hike.

After looking at it again with the owner of the van profusely apologizing I decided it was not so bad. Upon arriving home I took out some wax and it buffed right out.

I still do not understand why people have ZERO regard for others.

Its my fault I usually park out as far away as possible. This one time I took a gamble and lost. Back to hoofing it. At least its good exercise.
