i have a 1982 911sc. i just replaced the engine temp sensor, (930-606-117-00) purchased at pelican of course. the reason for this was an erratic cold idle. when the engine was warmed up after a several minutes i grounded the switch and BINGO it ran great! took it for a drive and it felt like i had an extra 10 horsepower. so i replaced the switch and at the same time replaced the o2 sensor, again purchased from pelican. fired it up the next morning and i have the same problem, erratic idle until the temp comes up! grounded the temp sensor again and once again it ran great. i attached the ground wire and the engine quickly clears up. i don't think the new switch is bad (fool) and have not pulled it out for a freezer test. what else should i be looking for?
