I'm NOT an expert, but I wonder if the Warm Up Regulator is doing it's job. How does your car run once the motor is warmed up and you have not grounded the temperature sensor? How does the car run if you remove the oil filler cap? (a drop in idle could indicate that there is an air leak) I'm sure I've missed some things here.
