I was at the UNM Lobo football season opener against UNLV in Albuquerque this weekend. They had brough "refugees" from Katrina to the game and honored them in the pregame show.
Having watched UNM play...I asked my daughter....haven't they suffered enough?

She said that displaced college students from Louisana were allowed to start classes at UNM this week without meeting entry/records reqmts, money, etc. Good on UNM...and probably lots of other schools.
On a serious note, apparently the folks who were smart enough to leave when told to are also smart enough to get on with their life without sitting around and feeling sorry for themselves/blaming others.
