You should be able to find a used Colt 70 series reissue for that kind of money. If not you can find a recent manufacture 80 series Colt with the new roll marks for a lot less than $800. No bells, no whistles. Do not spend money on one of the previous generation Colt guns that are still lying around on the shelves (1991A1 or the 'Enhanced' line). Shoot it for a while before you change anything on it.
