One of our flight attendents is a true African American. She was born in Rhodesia, back in the old days and that is what is shown on her passport. Mother and Father were missionaries and before you ask, they are white. They lived for 12 years in a mud hut, 200 miles from the closest store. Trish went to school by short wave radio and what we would now call home schooling.
She loves it when some uppity black person starts spouting off that they are "african American" and she gets in their face and asks them just where in Africa they were born? After all, we do not go around saying that we are a "German American," "Dutch American" or "English American" and so on, its only the blacks who insist on this.
Life can be interesting at times...
