Today i chatted with my cousin in London...he is the provider of the intellectual capital and is a principle partner/share holder of a subsiderary of RDM in the UK.
As U know he is working on Auto txt...which is a black box that will kill a cars electrical system if it is reported stolen..also it has GPS capabilties.
Two MAJOR European car mfgs have allready signed on and will start providing the systems in 2006....AND THEY WILL BE DISCONTINUING LOJAC.....this system has been approved by the British Car Insurers...They didn't get Bentley by the skin of their teeth....
This system will start hitting American shores in those European marques as soon as Dealer service can be provided....so within the next 2 years it's going to happen in the USA...
But the REAL News here is...that my cousin is "defining" A PAY PER MILE AUTO INSURANCE system as another capability of Auto txt...
It won't be long after that a pay per mile for Road Usage system is also developed....
So as a 5% sharholder in my Cousins Ltd...
