People normally say get the newest Porsche you can afford - but I think there's somethine to be said about having a car you did the work on and understand the different pieces. At least that way when something needs to be fixed or replaced you can either do it yourself or have a good idea what is involved for someone else to do it.
With that midset it's just a matter of finding the car that hits you the hardest when you see it. Note that this is a very biased opinion as I'm deep into my narrow bodied hot rod.
