Ok, here's a related topic that I have been thinking about...which would be cheaper:
1) Backdate a solid SC or Carrera with doing the bodywork,etc. to RS look and keep the engine (rebuild if it needs it, etc).
2) Get an early car with the longnose in place (and probably some rust repair) and either hop up the engine or replace it with a later model...
How much is the average bill for one of these backdates anyhow? I saw some scary numbers in Excellence, like $1200 for a single fender...YIKES!
