I don't want to start a riot when I say this, but most of the conversions I've seen for sale are within one or two years of being done.

Two theories......................

1. Met the challenge, been there done that bored with it - flipping it.

2. Does not have the feel of an early car, nor the engineering packaged balance of a later car and is a disapointment over time.

I'd love to be that disapointed.
Once you drive an earlier 911 with an extra 100 HP, there's no turning back. I don't think anyone has been disappointed.

We all think of things we would do differently, maybe a coupe, maybe an early car, maybe coil-overs.

It took a while to get mine sorted out, and much more money than I'll ever admit, but I have a deep and abiding love for my car that is not fading with time.
