Is that plug that fits into the torsion tube welded to the cover plate? If no, then it's not doing its job of transfering load to the torsion tube.
Because the heim joint is not attached to the center of the plug, fore and aft loads will simply rotate the plug in the torsion tube, without transferring the load. All the load will be carried by the 4 bolts.
