I don't think the design needs any major changes Mattias. It's a simple solution that will get the job done. The goal of good design right?
Make sure to check the travel of the plate. You might have to cut the end of the plates (at the adjusting screw end) at an angle so you don't hit the mounting bolts during suspension travel (or while the car is in the air for service..more of potential this case.)
