I think more and more stories will come out exposing similar "there was nothing we could do" BS from law enforcement and national guard troops.
I heard a funny interview on NPR with the prosecutor who's going after the owners of that senior center. The interviewer asked the prosecutor about prosecuting the police who deserted, suggesting that they, too, had abandoned their responsibility and allowed the deaths of many people. LOL--you should have heard the prosecutor hem and haw and backpedal. I guess the "old boy" corruption really is pervasive down there.
