I was amazed by the speech. It was as if W was channeling FDR or LBJ: everyone gets everything they want, and lots of it.
One part was classic W: no mention of where the money is going to come from. (He'll have to borrow it.)
I only heard the first part of the speech -- about rebuilding and "we'll stay there as long as it takes" (NO=Iraq?). Did he say anything about working on a plan to prevent future flooding?
