Funny story: While down in the BVI a couple of years ago, we rented a couple of Boston Whalers to tool around the Sound. In one of the harbors of the smaller islands across from Tortola is a floating bar that was a ship, called Willie T's. Nothing but drinking, greasy food, and people jumping off the stern of the ship after drinking, often naked.
After tieing my boat up, I walked over to help our friends. There was a huge person sitting on the dock with his hair sticking up like an afro wearing a bright shirt sitting on the dock with their legs in an inflateable. I glanced and thought it was an old woman from the angle I had
When I got to the other boat to help tie up, one of my friends pointed and said "there's Teddy Kennedy". It was the blob I'd walked past. HE sat there with his head down, pretty low key. A friend of his came down the steps from Willie's with as many cups of Painkillers as one person could possibly carry. They got in the boat and headed off to one of the moored sailboats. They climbed aboard and went below.
When they were pulling away, the six of us yelled "goodbye Senator", and he did turn around and wave. Still going strong after all those years.
