Guys,

I have my engine and tranny out to fix the valve guides in my 87 and this thread got me just a little bit nervous so I pulled the cross shaft to inspect the Weltmeister design that I installed a couple of years ago.

You all will be glad to know that the shaft looked fine. I also wiggled it to check for bushing wear and it passed that hi tech test.

I was able to pull it by hand and daubed it carefully with neverseez before reinstalling it
